Kiss Kill: Keychain Pistols
I’ve always believed if I’d been older in the 90’s I would’ve filled notebooks to the brim with lines of sorrow while wearing my Nirvana tee. That’s the belief I have and the image I seen when Kiss Kill’s Keychain Pistols started to play. Angst ridden rock bred from Michelle Leigh and her other half, Dusti Outlaw and given life by Jeff Leopard and Bam Bam Purkapile. Title track, “Keychain Pistols” catches your attention with its rock ways that aren’t overdone, but just enough to make it pop. I also would put money on this tune inspiring tattoos for many a couple. Just remember ladies and gentlemen…never get someone’s name. While ink was in the pistols, teen movie montages were in “High School Drama.” And since they got that 90’s feel, you can’t help but imagine the likes of Freddie Prinze Jr. running around a campus all bummed about one of the million things that can get a high school kid down. Fans of Liz Phair and Juliana Hatfield should take a break from Hey Monday and check out the keen sounds of Kiss Kill’s Keychain Pistols.
